A sinking ship
The bad news: you are on a sinking ship!
The good news: the ship can be saved.
BUT: first of all you must realize that you are on a sinking ship and then you must pitch in to help save the ship or we all go down together.
America is that sinking ship. The politicians with the aid of the media are trying to convince us that everything is OK. It doesn't take much looking, however, to find out that everything is not OK. If you get out of your bunk on a ship and there is four inches of water on the floor it is not a good sign. Wake up people there is water on the floor. Do a little checking and you will find that I am right. We are in trouble. Next you must start to wake up your neighbors. Then we must work hard, probably harder than we have ever worked before, to save the ship. The ship is fractured and we must repair the fractures then start bailing water as fast as we can!
Can you imagine being on a ship and people ignoring the signs and warnings that the ship is sinking? That is ludicrous! However that is what is going on today in America. The signs are all around and some are shouting warnings but people say things like I don't get involved in politics. Therein lies the problem. The ordinary citizen has been too busy taking care of their families, pursuing careers etc. to take time for politics but we no longer have a choice. If we don't work fast we will all go down together!
