Christmas  began as a day to worship the Sun God, that is why it is on December 25. December 25 is the time of year that the Days start to get longer so the pagans used to worship on this day to celebrate the rebirth of the sun. Easter was a pagan spring time celebration of fertility to the fertility goddess Ishtar or Easter. Spring is the time of year when plants are starting to grow and animals are giving birth to their young. That is why Easter is celebrated with bunnies and eggs, after all, what are bunnies known for? Sunday worship was the pagan day to worship the sun god. Hence the name SUN day. The Roman emperor Constantine supposedly converted to Christianity so he took his pagan holidays and called them Christian celebrations and thus blended pagan worship with Christianity.  I see many people saying: "No matter who is President Jesus is still on the throne". Which means what exactly?

If you are a Christian who thinks that Christians should stay out of politics go look in the mirror there you will find the problem with America! 

America is a lawless society inundated with laws!

According to surveys 39% of Americans attend church weekly. There are about 318 million people in America. Therefore there are over 124 Million people going to church every week. How is it that the churches have over 124 Million people and yet have almost 0 influence over America?

Owning a copy of the Scriptures won't get you into heaven Knowing the Scriptures won't get you into heaven Doing the Scriptures will get you into heaven!

Some of us have been fighting the wrong battle. We have been trying to turn America around when we should have been working on turning the church around. We have been trying to turn America around without turning the church around first. America is off track because the church is off track.

I hear many Christians "claiming scripture". They "claim" scriptures about healing, deliverance or blessing. They act as though if they "claim" a scripture that  God will then act on their behalf to bring about whatever it is that they are seeking. I wonder why no one ever "claims" this verse:  Matthew 19:21 New King James Version (NKJV) 21  Jesus said to him,   “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”

Sure your preacher preaches scripture straight from the Bible but does the preaching agree with the whole Bible?

Do you read your Bible or do you study your Bible? Do you study your Bible or do you study what someone else says about the Bible?

Now that I have your attention, let me explain. This is not an atheistic rant. God did not build America. God did not just wake up one morning and decide that He was going to build a great Christian nation. Men (in the general mankind sense, so as not to offend the feminist Christians) built America. Albeit with God's help and blessing but men had to work hard, give their time their money and even their lives to build America. God is not going to fix America. Almost all I hear from Christians in America is talk of prayer for America. I hear almost no talk of Christians getting involved and working to fix the problems in America. God is not going to wake up one morning and decide to magically fix all of America's problems. We are going to have to fix America! When Christians get off of their pews and start working to fix America then I have every confidence that God will step in and bless our efforts and help us get the job done.  God is not going to do it for you. As I have written before, Christianity, if you look at the numbers, is a majority in America. Yet these days Christians seem to think that we are a minority. So, let's look at the numbers again but from a slightly different perspective.

If you live in a place where it is despicable to hit a dog but Ok to tear a live human baby apart piece by piece and call it choice, you might want to check the sign above the door because it probably ends in Asylum!
