Darkness Descending

I have spent most of my adult life warning people that we in America are heading in the wrong direction. I see America descending into the pits of hell and good people are doing nothing to stop it.
In the days before World War II Germany went down the wrong path. Good people were deceived and did not see the errors of their ways even though I am sure that God sent prophets to Germany just as He did Israel and as He has America. Germany's mistakes led to a huge war, many unthinkable horrors and many many deaths.

The beast has grown since then and is much bigger and much more evil.

America, barring a miracle from God, is heading into a world and a life that it cannot imagine. If America continues down this path it will find itself in a life of horrors that will make World War II Germany pale in comparison.

Many Christians in America believe that they will be exempt from any suffering but history paints a different picture. Do you think that all of the Jews who suffered  unspeakable horrors in World War II suffered because they were all bad? Do you not think that there were some good God fearing Jews among them who suffered too? When Israel was taken into captivity was it because they were all bad? God said that He always has a remnant. Did the remnant not go into captivity and suffer too?

Luke 13:1-5

New American Standard Bible (NASB)

13 Now on the same occasion there were some present who reported to Him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had [a]mixed with their sacrifices. And Jesus said to them, Do you suppose that these Galileans were greater sinners than all other Galileans because they suffered this fate? I tell you, no, but unless you [b]repent, you will all likewise perish. Or do you suppose that those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them were worse [c]culprits than all the men who live in Jerusalem? I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.”

What audacity must American Christians have to believe that we are so special to God that He will keep us from suffering?

I fear for America but especially I fear for my children and grandchildren.
