WWJD

WWJD was a fad years ago. It was such a big phenomenon that even the secular world knows what it means but of course they typically make fun of it.
We Christians quoted it a lot and even wore wrist bands with the initials on them but did we ever take it seriously? Did we ever really think about What Would Jesus Do?

Would Jesus really watch the TV shows that we watch? Would He really go to the movies that we do? Would He really listen to the music that we do? Would He really say the things that we say? Would He say I don't get involved in politics? Would He be apathetic? Would He just go to church on Sunday and blend in with the rest of the world the rest of the week? I could go on and on.

Apparently we never took it seriously. We never really considered what Jesus would do. We never really calculated what Jesus would do and then applied it to our lives.

WWJD could be a powerful tool IF we only took it seriously. It would drastically change our lives and the lives of all of those around us IF we really applied it to our lives.

  1. What would Jesus do? First, we have to realize that He was not a wimp. He might sometimes slip quietly away from controversy then at other times He hit it head on and got right in the face of satan. But never once did He compromise.
He recognised the needs of people and he provided, whether it be food for the body or food for the soul. He acted in behalf of those in need rather than just praying about it.He not only died for us, He also lived for us.We also should live for others and be prepared to die for them as well. That not only what Jesus would do, that's what He did.

  2. Jesus not only died for us and provided the example of sacrifice, He also lived for us and provided the example of how we should live for Him, and our fellowman.
Most of us are content to just pray and then avoid the rest of our responsibilities.
Jesus prayed and then He acted in accordance with His Father's will. If we did the same this world would be a much better place.
