I'll Pray About That

The husband says to his wife "honey we need groceries". To which the wife replies "I'll pray about that". Then she bows her head, closes her eyes and says " Father we need groceries and you promised to supply all of our needs so please give us our groceries. Amen".

Sounds crazy doesn't it? If you have a vehicle, you are physically able, you have the money and you have a grocery store just a few miles away do you really think that God is going to just drop groceries in your pantry for you?

Yet, when you talk about the way things are going in this country, the vast majority of Christians will simply say "I'm praying about it". There is a myriad of things that Christians can do. Christians have the abilities to change this country and yet all that they are willing to do is pray about it. In effect they are trying to dump the problem in God's lap and say "here fix this". We have created this mess by our inaction and now we want to dump it in God's lap and tell Him to fix it. This country wasn't founded by Washington and his peers staying cuddled up in their warm houses and only praying about it. I for one don't believe that it is going to be fixed that way either.

Faith and Deeds

14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them?

What will you do?
