God did not build America and God is not going to fix America
Now that I have your attention, let me explain.
This is not an atheistic rant.
God did not build America.
God did not just wake up one morning and decide that He was going to build a great Christian nation. Men (in the general mankind sense, so as not to offend the feminist Christians) built America. Albeit with God's help and blessing but men had to work hard, give their time their money and even their lives to build America.
God is not going to fix America.
Almost all I hear from Christians in America is talk of prayer for America. I hear almost no talk of Christians getting involved and working to fix the problems in America. God is not going to wake up one morning and decide to magically fix all of America's problems. We are going to have to fix America! When Christians get off of their pews and start working to fix America then I have every confidence that God will step in and bless our efforts and help us get the job done. God is not going to do it for you. If all you are doing is praying for America and not working to fix the problems yourself then you are trying to dump the responsibility of correcting America in God's lap and not taking responsibility for it yourself. God did not create the problems that we have in America so He is not responsible to clean it up. Christians, on the other hand, are responsible for the mess in America. We created this mess by our own laziness, selfishness and apathy.
Get up, put your I-junk down and get to work to fix America for your children and grandchildren or carry on in your selfish complacency and kiss it and them goodbye!
